Brazilian Defense Minister visits Washington, D.C.

Brazilian Defense Minister Nelson Jobim visited Washington, D.C., on March 20 and 21 for meetings with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of Transport Mary Peters. Jobim visited U.S. air and naval bases in Norfolk, Virginia, where he saw demonstrations of U.S. fighters and submarines.  He also met with the Inter-American Defense Board and visited the Washington air traffic control center
